AI Cookbook: Empowering Educators in the Digital Age

The AI Cookbook project is dedicated to supporting the digital transformation of adult education, with a particular focus on educators working with migrants. By introducing innovative uses of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the project equips adult educators with the practical tools and knowledge needed to design personalised, accessible, and culturally responsive learning experiences. The aim is to strengthen educators’ digital readiness and resilience, helping them confidently navigate the evolving landscape of educational technology.

A key aspect of the initiative is its commitment to professional development. Through targeted training aligned with the European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu), the project ensures that educators not only build practical skills in using AI but also deepen their understanding of ethical and pedagogical considerations. This comprehensive approach enables them to integrate AI tools thoughtfully into diverse educational settings.

The project launched with a kick-off meeting in Berlin on the 16-17 January 2025. Since then, partners have been actively collaborating to deliver training and resources that empower educators to adapt to the digital era and better address the unique needs of migrant learners.

Goals of the project
– Enhance the digital competences of adult educators, particularly those working with migrants
– Foster a positive mindset towards the integration of AI in education
– Provide practical training on the use of AI tools for creating adaptive and inclusive learning environments
– Support educators in embedding ethical and responsible AI applications into their teaching practice

Expected results
– A practical “AI Cookbook” guide, offering step-by-step instructions for using AI tools in education – Training modules and resources aligned with DigCompEdu standards – A community of educators equipped with the skills and confidence to integrate AI into adult learning contexts

– Increased capacity of adult education organisations to address the diverse needs of migrant learners through innovative digital solutions
