TANDEM

The aim of the project is to improve the key skills of both migrants and locals through non-formal learning to increase employability and social participation.

TANDEM enables migrants to use their language skills in an innovative non-formal learning program as part of peer learning with low-skilled migrants and locals. This also leads to a cultural exchange between the two groups.

The aim is to create a freely accessible textbook based on authentic teaching situations and the experience of experts. MOOC course on activity-based language teaching The next step is to develop 5 learning modules for a free online course on activity-based language teaching for migrants who want to teach their mother tongue.

The course is being tested in the pilot phase as part of a blended learning course with 15 migrants. The final step will be an online lesson by the migrants for 15 locals. Handout for the TANDEM language exchange The creation of a handout for the implementation of cultural and language exchanges in the context of four café workshops will be a decisive step for the successful development of language exchanges and intercultural exchange between the two target groups. This will also ensure the sustainability of the project.
